a whole month to celebrate your pride in being homesexual, a switch-hitter and transgender.. screaming for attention and acceptance in a World that may never fully accept such a lifestyle.

i can understand that being the President involves performing a lot of diplomatic duties, but some shit is just a waste of time; and why do you need a President to "Proclaim" this, does that give it some extra weight? baaaaaaaaaah.

what are your thoughts on whole thing?

those in power literally can do as they wish...

according to news reports, a snippet of the Obama inauguration speech was cut-out when Obama made a reference to past stances against "Facism and Communism"...

the offending statement:

Quote
Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions.

the out-right censorship of words, thoughts and ideologies is disturbing, and i'm glad we do not experience censorship directly as that... but censorship does exist in the United States. believe that!  :-X

the 43rd president, george w. bush, has just left the east-side of the capital building, and now the 44th president, Barack H Obama and his vice president Joe Biden are heading to the white house!

life, reality, stopped for a few minutes as the World watched this man recite the presidential oath.

it was very interesting to learn that Barack was already President before he was sworn-in, due to stipulations in the constitution.. those stipulations state that at 12:00noon, the president-elect shall become president with/without being sworn-in by oath.

on other forums, some people expressed some negativity towards the inauguration.. stating it was:

- hyped
- over the top
- mistakenly American, and a waste of time..

my thoughts on that, "It Is What It Is!" for those critics, maybe they took notice to the fact that the Obama cabinet went hustling to get into the office before the inauguration was finished.

so.. what did you think of the whole shindig?

*boink*

in less than twenty-four hours, president-elect Barack Hussein Obama will jump into a big pair of shoes as the next president of the United States of America.

i took some time to read specifics about the inauguration, and it's a big event; some people say it's the closest thing to "royal coronation" held across the pond in England. but, does tomorrow have more historical ummmphh! than a royal coronation?

the 1st "Black" or "Black American" president ever!

i personally don't care for all the hoopla that will occur tomorrow, but i am eager to hear Barack speak to the country and inevitably the entire modern World as the President.

so, until tomorrow.. sleep well, change is happening!

peace
